Gang,
I just wanted to thank everyone for the wonderful emails!! It was awesome to hear that you all are doing very well. It truly made my day... I am very appreciative of receiving them and it came at a perfect time. I am getting close to finishing up my tour here, and have let myself wonder to things back home. I'm finally getting close to returning and allowing myself the luxury of thinking about home. Don't get me wrong, I always think of my two sons, Zach (18) and Alex (7, going on 20), but I try not to let my mind wonder too much and daydream about home.
My sons are both doing wonderful. Zach has graduated from high school this year. Can you believe that? Hard to believe, but yes, we are getting old. Alex will be in second grade and he is doing fantastic in school. He actually tested very high and has been placed in more advanced academics. I'll have to give Cynthia credit for that one.... :) but he does get his superior sense of humor from his dad...
Things here are as good as they can be. The guys I work with have been awesome. Bridgette's brother I believe worked with the same group of guys. It truly is 7 degrees of separation. From the stories I have been told, he has done Grandview and his family very proud. They all speak very highly of him. So kudos to Pat!!
Well, I better run for now. I hope to see everyone when I get home. Maybe I'll drag Shea and Billy out to a football game and try and catch up with everyone. Thanks again for all of the emails and prayers.
Your friend,
Bruce

Hi just wanted to say that we had a great time at the reunion. It was nice to see everyone again.
Not to brag about things but I won an national ward from a magazine called Firehouse (firemans trade magazine). It was for a fire i was in at the end of June last year. I had fallen thru a floor and was able to get out, but just after i got out another fireman had fallen thru in the same area and i helped save him with other firemen that were with me in my crew. The other firemen and I also got awards from the city in November.
The fire was caused by a little boy playing with a lighter and it killed his aunt. The fire was right next to Graders Ice cream on Bethel Rd.
Well enuff about me hope everyone is doing good. Send emails always glad to hear from anyone.

Hey everyone,
I hope things are going great stateside! I am still deployed over in Iraq, and things are going very well for me, so far.... knock on wood. I am coincidently working with guys with whom I believe Bridgette's brother Pat Quinn had served with. It truely is 7 degrees of seperation... I hope to return soon. I won't be back in time to catch up with everyone at the Knotty Pine, however I should be back shortly there after. Everyone take care and I hope to see you soon....

Why yes, I do remember the dead animals... I remember Bozeman getting a candygram every year that said Eat S*** and Die...Kilbourne spelling very long words backwards ... by the way, I'm in possession of one of his suit jackets, don't ask how... and I do remember Steve Beck interacting with his favorite health teacher. I remember competing with Pat Murley for the best test score in 8th grade health and racing Kathy Koch in typing class. 80 wpm on a manual where you had to return the carriage by hand, that just seems freakish now...in elementary school I remember a substitute teacher asking Tim Wiseman to shut the door, and he slammed it accidentally, I'm pretty sure it was accidentally, and she told him to do it again, so he slammed it again, and even she laughed... I remember Chuck Piatt making inhuman beep sounds so Mr. Jackson would advance the slide show too fast, and Mr. Jackson getting mad about it but not knowing who to be mad at, well I guess now he knows, and also how someone would roll his projector against the back wall so the rear take-up wheel wouldn't turn... these are the tales I'll be babbling about in my senile years... most of my memories are probably more crowd specific: "Omigod, I'm so rude..." and, uh, "poody," which is a term that has sort of come in handy over the years...

Hello everyone,
Here a just a couple of memories from our days at Grandview. How about Dan Pierce and Bill Forrest and the dead animals that they would place in lockers. Remember that smell? Not a pleasant one. For you guys in third period wood shop, remember those donut runs to the Donut Kitchen? Senior skip day when we made a few too many passes around the school and Mr. B called the cops on us? This is just a start of them, we all know we have plenty more we can post here and some we cannot. See everyone on the September 16th.

I have an 17 year old daughter, Shaina, who will graduate from Hilliard Darby this year. I've been working for the state for 15 years, haven't decided what I want to be when I grow up. Just to let you know something about me, I'm an obsessed Aerosmith fan. Just ask Jennifer Hughes. I've seen them in concert at least 5 times. My dream is to participate in one of their velvet rope travel packages where you get to hang out and party with them. That's pretty much it for now.

hi all, i am not sure if i am attending the reunion, but seeing all the people that are coming i might just have to do it, and my parents still live in ohio, so i have a place to stay. i live in california now, and have just gotten the invite 8/16/05. dan pierce called about a month ago but i have been unable to talk with him. He was my best man for my first marriage. i am married again(not happening again), i have 2 children that i know about (lol). i work for AAA out here. when i graduated i went to fla. , then i got married, then divorced, then moved to fla, then met my current wife and moved to calf., the only things i claim from ohio is good old grandview heights, OSU, and my parents other than that it is way to cold for me. i havnt heard or talked to anyone(except dan who left me a message) since graduation, and with all the law enforcement that is in are class im a little scared i might be arrested for all of my past transgressions. feel free to email me @ grndvw85@yahoo.com, yes i have had this a long long time. proud to be a bobcat. thinking of everyone.

Hi Everyone!
I'm looking forward to seeing all of you. Before I forget, if anyone has all of our elementary school class pictures- please bring them! (We were all so cute back then.)
My parents are moving to Florida in a few weeks so I came back to go through all of my crap in their basement a couple of weeks ago. Boy did I find some goodies! A huge box full of high school pictures along with the ones I already had in Los Angeles.
I was totally shocked when I actually found three full boxes of the 45s I used to use when I played DJ at the jr. high and high school dances! Wow, did we really listen to that stuff? I will soon get my turntable out to take an audio trip down memory lane.
The best part was actually finding most of our Edison Elementary school art class projects from Mrs. Motvic (sorry, I can't remember how to spell her name.) Boy, we sure did a lot of pottery projects. Remember?
Best of all, yes, I still have it- the video tape of our all-night graduation party! If I can pull it off in time I will try to transfer it to DVD. That way if people want copies it will be really easy to do. Gosh we really looked a lot younger in those days- I even still had hair!
Well, I will keep digging around my apartment for any more stuff that you might like to see.
Have a great month and I'll see you all in September!

Hi Everyone, I can't believe it's been 20 years already. Like Philip said...seeing the names brings back so many memories. We had such great times together...5th & 6th grade camp, football games and afterwards Friendly's & Arturos Pizza (playing Pac Man), watching wrestling meets and of course cruising 1st Ave and so many more! It will be so fun to see everyone again. See you in September!
